Harriett Baldwin comments on Upton-upon-Severn flood defence funding.

Harriett Baldwin said, "I am absolutely delighted to hear that the Environment Agency have secured funding for these important flood defences. As we approach the anniversary of the summer floods, I know that the owners of the 127 properties affected will be thrilled with this news. I will once again be thanking David Cameron MP, Leader of the Opposition and Peter Ainsworth MP, Shadow Environment Minister for visiting Upton-upon-Severn at the invitation of Sir Michael Spicer MP and myself. I would also like to thank Mayor Tim Perry, Upton Town Council, the local news media and local businesses for the way in which they have kept the town in the public eye. I have also been having regular meetings with the Environment Agency about this work and I will continue to keep in regular contact with them to ensure that other communities in West Worcestershire are also kept in the frame for further funding."
