West Worcestershire MP Harriett Baldwin has praised the range of ‘brilliant brains’ in attendance at a showcase event in Malvern last week. The Festival of Innovation welcomed hundreds of people to Malvern Theatre to demonstrate the county’s creativity. The MP toured the event last week (Friday November 9) and met with local businesses including lead sponsor QinetiQ. Attendees were able to listen to speeches by former Channel 4 boss Luke Johnson and Morgan Cars founder Charles Morgan. The event was run by former QinetiQ researcher Dr Emma Philpot backed by a number of local businesses. Harriett commented: “It was great to see so many of the brains of brilliant Malvern in one place. “Cyber businesses grab many of the headlines at the moment but there are so many brilliant people locally setting up small businesses. “I am confident that Malvern’s reputation as a centre for brilliant high technology innovation will continue to grow.” Photo: (l-r) Harriett Baldwin MP, Emma Philpot, event organiser and Mark Roberts, QinetiQ.
