West Worcestershire MP Harriett Baldwin has offered her support to a charity which helps raising money for children’s hospices. Harriett attended a meeting with children’s palliative care charity Together for Short Lives to find out more about its work across the UK and met with carers of young people with serious, life-limiting illness. The MP offered her support for the charity’s efforts to lobby organisations such as local authorities and clinical commissioning groups to ensure that children’s hospices are able to keep providing important support for local families. Harriett commented: “Families with children affected by life-limiting illness need as much help as they can get and hospices provide a crucial service. “I was keen to hear of the charity’s work and I welcome their efforts to ensure that the right actions are taken by t6he local NHS bodies and Worcestershire County Council to support children who need palliative care.”
