West Worcestershire MP Harriett Baldwin will next week lead a networking meeting with parties interested in Malvern’s local TV opportunity. The MP has invited everyone who has contacted her expressing an interest in Malvern TV to attend the meeting on Friday, Spetmber 16. Harriett commented: “I am keen to hear from as many people as possible to understand the potential of a local TV station. “I have heard from a number of local TV production companies and they will all be feeding in to this discussion. “The key question is whether we can find a suitable business model that will make Malvern TV a viable proposition. “A submission is due to be made to the Department for Culture Media and Sport later this month and I hope Malvern will be able to take part. “I know the Department would like to see rural TV stations being proposed alongside those in our major cities. I know there’s lots happening in Malvern and we have a fantastic local paper. Can Malvern’s brilliant brains meet the challenge?”
