PLEASE NOTE: Unfortunately Michael Gove had to return to Westminster to take part in the vote on UK settlement rights for Gurkhas.

Michael Gove MP, the Shadow Secretary of State for Children, Schools and Families will visit Pershore High School on Wednesday 29th April at 13:30 (check against final schedule).

He will tour the school and meet staff and pupils with Head Teacher Clive Corbett. He will also view the school's Hampton centre, a mainstream autism base which opened in 2007.

Harriett Baldwin, Conservative Parliamentary Candidate for West Worcestershire, who arranged the visit and will accompany Mr. Gove said, "I hope that Mr. Gove will be able to hear at first hand how Pershore High School delivers such a good education to 11 - 18 year olds despite Worcestershire's low funding per pupil. In addition, Mr Gove will hear about the problems caused by the uncertainty about Sixth Form funding this year."
