Jim Paice MP, Shadow Minister for Agriculture is to visit farmers in Worcestershire this Wednesday September 26th 2007.

He will discuss problems such as the foot and mouth restrictions, blue tongue disease, bovine TB, the aftermath of the floods and the SIngle Farm Payment with local farmers. He will also launch a school/farm "twinning" scheme for the Year of Food and Farming between Wychall School, Birmingham and Overbury Farm.

Harriett Baldwin, Conservative Parliamentary Candidate, West Worcestershire, invited Jim Paice MP to Worcestershire. "I am delighted that he has been able to spare time for a visit at this critical time for farmers. It is so important that politicians listen to the very difficult issues our farmers re facing.

I am also very pleased that Worcestershire will have a farm twinned with an urban school. Today, so few inner city children know how the food they buy in the supermarket is produced. This is an excellent way to teach them to value farming."
