Community Action have been renting premises in Belle Vue Terrace from the Town Council on a peppercorn rent of £960 per annum. With the expiration of this arrangement, a new 3 year lease has been agreed at a market rate, and a further 2 year extension will be possible. The rent increase from £960 to £9600 will be funded by an annual grant from Malvern Town Council of £8600.
Harriett Baldwin said, "Community Action provides a range of very valuable services to people not only in Malvern, but across Malvern Hills District. I am glad that the Town Council have resolved the situation and given them security of tenure. I know this will also allow Community Action to consider alternative premises with better visibility to the general public and better access for the elderly and disabled."
