Harriett Baldwin, Conservative Parliamentary Candidate for West Worcestershire has this week learned that Wind Prospect Limited has lodged a planning application with Tewkesbury Borough Council for a wind cluster adjacent to the M50 at Strensham.

The application was lodged on 27th November 2009.

An appeal is also under way with Wychavon District Council by Wind Prospect Ltd. over an application to build an access track and cable trench to the proposed wind farm development. The initial application was refused.

Harriett Baldwin said, "I am happy to see offshore and onshore wind farms providing a part of a diversified energy supply in the UK, but I will be writing in to Tewkesbury Borough Council's planning department to object to this particular site on the grounds that it is very visible from two areas of outstanding natural beauty - Bredon Hill and the Malverns."
