Harriett Baldwin has signed a pledge with Cancer Research UK to help beat cancer. Cancer Research UK will visit Malvern this week to thank her for her support. The Cancer Research UK pledge calls for parliamentary candidates to commit to beat cancer by supporting the following aims:
  • Detect cancer earlier
  • Provide world-class cancer treatments
  • Prevent more cancers
  • Tackle cancer inequalities
  • Protect the UK’s research base
Harriett Baldwin said, “One in three people in West Worcestershire are likely to get cancer in their lifetime. So far, I am pleased that I have helped the successful campaign to install a linear accelerator machine for radiotherapy at Worcestershire Royal Hospital in 2011. In addition, I am delighted that the Primary Care Trust is undertaking a full review of local cancer services. I have been a long term supporter of the excellent work of Cancer Research UK and am delighted to sign up to their campaign.”
