Hariett Baldwin has called on Worcestershire County Council to consider several other Malvern charities as they review their property portfolio in Malvern.

Last week it was announced that the County was looking at its property portfolio in Malvern and this week the final decision was taken by Cabinet to close Malvern Hills Primary School.

Harriett Baldwin said, "I have been in touch with both Cllr Liz Eyre, Cabinet Member for Children and Young People and Stephen Clee, Cabinet Member for Corporate Services. I have spoken to Cllr Eyre about Malvern Special Families and about TG's project for a youth facility. I've also mentioned to Cllr Clee about the need to find a long term home for Community Action Malvern and District and ARCOS as well. I hope that all these issues can be considered as the County Council reviews its properties in Malvern.

I am delighted that Malvern Special Families will be able to stay where it is for now and perhaps the sad closure of the Malvern Hills Primary School offers the opportunity for a community hub. "
