Another protest rally in Upton is planned for March 3rd at 2pm to voice anger at Malvern Hills District Council's plan to sell the High Street toilets before the May local elections.

The protest will take place outside the King's Head pub.

The Conservative group on the Council is also bringing a motion proposing to delay the sale until after the District Council elections in May. Serena Croad, leader of the Conservative Group said, "We have pledged to re-open the toilets if we gain control of the council in May. We think it is going against local democracy for the Council to sell them before then. Let's wait and see what local people think when they vote for their District Councillors on May 3rd."

Harriett Baldwin, Conservative Party Parliamentary Candidate for West Worcestershire is also exploring a legal challenge to the sale. "We know that the toilets are under a covenant which the Council already seems to be breaking. We have a legal team exploring the options."
