Job Title: Constituency Caseworker. 

Pay: Based on experience, in line with IPSA range 

Location: Malvern constituency office with ability to work from home if needed 

 

Key responsibilities:  

Deal politely with the general public in West Worcestershire, by telephone, in face-to-face advice surgeries and by letter and e-mail. 

Work with constituency-based and Westminster teams and the Member of Parliament. 

Write letters and e-mails, often in high volumes and under time pressure. 

Ensure records are kept and information managed confidentially in line with the data protection legislation  

Ensure that each case is dealt with promptly, sensitively, confidentially and accurately in accordance with the MP’s requirements.  

Gather relevant information to assist with resolving cases. 

Liaise with local and national stakeholders. 

 

Skills and competencies:

Must have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office products and use of the internet. 

Must use and understand social media. 

Must be a good communicator. 

Must have an interest in current affairs and/or politics. Helpful to understand areas of responsibility within local and national government. 

Good spelling and grammar. 

May be required to travel to Westminster occasionally for work and/or training. 

Must be able to work un-supervised and as part of a small team. 

 

The ideal candidate will be, or have been, resident in Worcestershire and able to show a good knowledge of the West Worcestershire constituency. A full UK driving licence is essential as the candidate may be required to drive to and from meetings with their own transport. 

The successful candidate will need to undergo and pass, standard security vetting.
