Scrutinising Ambulance Trust Performance
The Hereford and Worcester 999 ambulance call centre at Bransford closed on December 1st 2008, despite a widespread campaign to stop it. Harriett Baldwin met ambulance trust bosses at Brierley Hill on January 12th 2009 to discuss the problems this has caused and to see how they plan to improve the service. Read more

Progress on flood defences
Flood defences for Upton-upon-Severn are still on track for 2009. This week, Harriett Baldwin welcomes news that schemes for Defford Road Pershore, Powick and Uckinghall have also received "local levy" funding and should start in the year to come. Read more

Campaign for Tenbury's flood defences
Harriett Baldwin organised and chaired a public meeting in Tenbury on January 10th with representation from every level of government - Tenbury Town Councillor and District Councillor Tony Penn, District Councillor Phil Grove, County Council Cabinet Member for Finance Adrian Hardman, Environment Agency Managers Paul Tullett and Anthony Perry and Philip Bradbourn MEP. The challenge continues to be finding £5m for this scheme. Harriett will maintain pressure on the government and ensure that no stone is left unturned in the search for funding. Read more
