Harriett Baldwin welcomes Government decision to drop plans to change the rules
for dispensing GPs
In
response, Harriett said: "This is fantastic news for patients in rural areas.
I am so glad that the government listened to common sense."

Spicer MP and Harriett Baldwin had received petitons with over 5,800 signatures
from three affected surgeries - Abbotswood, Pershore Medical Practice and Upton
Surgery. They passed these petitions on to the Health Minister responsible
and Harriett had also written supporting the 'no change' option.

Letter in support of flood defence schemes in Powick, Kempsey and Pershore
Following
the recent exhibitions of the flood schemes at Powick, Kempsey and Pershore,
Defford Road, Harriett has written to Mark Sitton-Kent, Regional Director of the
Environment Agency to express support. She has also requested a meeting with
County Councillor John Smith who represents Worcestershire on the Regional Flood
Committee which is due to discuss these schemes on 14th January.

Christmas Card budget donated to charity
Michael
and Harriett Baldwin decided not to send their usual joint Christmas card to the
whole constituency. Instead they have donated the money that they would have
spent on cards to St Richard's Hospice. Charities are particularly affected by
the current economic situation and, sadly, during the credit crunch charitable
giving is one of the things that people may feel they need to cut back on.
